Was going at speed on the highway and hit the brakes fairly hard for a granny in an old Ford Escort going 30mph. Standard MY00 Turbo with std pads and discs. I was going about 90mph and the brakes made alot of noise. It is kinda like a loud rubbing noise when pushing the brakes. :eek:

Once I was back to about 40mph it didnt make the noise anymore. Checked my discs and they look ok without any cracking etc on them. They are close to being worn out though. Anybody experienced this before? Should I be worried?
