LAMDA SENSOR

evening

just wondering if someone can point me to a good website/company that sell o2 sensors for a classic shape sti.

also can anyone give me/direct me to where the wires connect.

i recently had a new engine and the garage that did it seem to have cut the wires on the o2 sensor and not reconnected it so ive got an o2 sensor that is connected to nothing! going to have a very big moan to them on monday!!!!!

after dealing with them they seem very incapable so its best i help them as much as possible in order to get the quality of the work raised!

any help would be great guys

thanks!

Try these guys, I have spoken with them in the past and they seem to know their Subarus:thumb:

Christ nearly £200 for an O2 sensor?

Yeah I know, mine needs that one too:(

I did some digging and apparently that sensor converts a narrowband signal into a wideband reading for the ECU, acting as a pseudo wideband sensor. The annoying thing is a genuine wideband sensor is half the price, and subaru want nearer £360 for it:eek:

thanks for that jonmc. il speak to the garage tomorrow and hopefully they can sort one out.

also as there seems to be no wires coming off the end of the lambda can would you be able to tell me where it should connect to in the engine bay? i didnt notice any loose wires or anything around there. this is just sooo annoying!!!

Which sensor is it, the one under the car near the second cat, or the one in the headers/downpipe.

If it is the rear one it is a lot cheaper, the front one is the issue, but that £200 is a newage issue only:?

If your after the one just after the turbo on a classic impreza try this website. Got mine from there which uses the three wire middle pic sensor(recommended by Simon JGM :thumb:) and only £63.25 delivered. Got one from Subaru last year that was about £120 :cuckoo:. Sounds like you need to find the original connector thats on the car though.
