Spike/knock values
 

hi there people just would like to ask what is the maximum knock spike you have had on your PFC? i believe my engine is detting at high revs in 4th and 5th as my commander shows knock values at 80-90, but the engine light does not flash. could there be a basic cause for this? i.e something touching on the engine? do those knock value mean my engine is getiing damaged inside?

just a walbro pump, 3inch exhaust, air filter, avcr & standard tmic

what Model Impreza do you have?

as the APFC is set to Flash when you Max the injectors out, but if you say you get a Spike on the graph, i think it will need to go back to whoever mapped it to sort that problem out,.

the only way it wouldn't flash with peak values that high is

A) the CEL bulb is missing
B) it has been disabled in the map
C) the mapper heard no det at those values so set the knock warning higher

the latter of which I would be surprized as impreza engine usually a lot lower than that.

nope have not touched the avcr and never have! i set channel 1 on my commander to display knock that showed a spike in the line graph. befroe it did show cel light but now it dont :Suspiciou

its a version 3 sti mate

mine reads no higher than 30 on full boost
