buying a replacement part - problem?

here goes,

went to phone up a company today to order some kyb ultra sr shocks for my 02 bug. they then asked for the build date of my car. all i had was my date of registration (06,2002)this was because they said there were various changes.

phoned up my local subaru dealership which were as good a chocolate frying pan and not got back to me after 5 hrs.

on a website for the same product it does not specify the exact month the car was made just model and year
"GD Chassis Code 00 - Oct 02 Excl STi"

is this really an issue, never had this problem before, or do i just order them anyway

Well yours was obviously made well before the date of sale, so no problem...

Mine is a Nov '01 car reg on 01/03/2002.

There were a few changes from the phase I bugeye to the Phase II but there isn't anything on the suspension front :D

The only external change was the radio mast which went from the a-pillar to the rear screen........the big change was they dropped the RA because it was hopeless !!
