Steering wheel wobble

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can save me some time in helping me diagnose my 98/99 Legacy. When driving, from about 4mph onwards the steering wheel turns left-right all on its own. It doesn't get worse with speed. At anything over 3/4 lock the oscillations equate to about a 1/8turn of the steering wheel.
On braking the oscillations get worse too - but I have a suspicion I have a warped disc.

Thankyou,
Glen.

hi m8before you going condeming discs etc :nono:jack up the car and check for run out on the tyre ,you could have a tyre thart out of shape esp when doing only 4 mph the tread lands may have distorted causing s/wheel wobble.or damaged wheels maybe :wonder:if you cant see anything swap front to rear and r/test
cheers geo

Hi wurlyvalve,

I know it's been a while but did you ever find a solution to this issue - I test drove an Impreza that did exactly the same yesterday.

Cheers.
