MarkD DON'T GO anywhere near Spit & Polish because they are crap.

I had a set done there and they went back twice for repainting, after plenty of battling with them, not a good attitude. Every wheel was a different shade, and incompletely painted.

I have used Spit & Polish on 01732 367771. They will do a 1 day turnaround or do pick ups from various garages. Cost is approx £165 for 4 inc tyre refit and balance.

They are in Kent but quality is excellent

Good luck

I've used Paint Technik - 0800 298 5455. That's a central number & they'll put you in touch with your local man. He came in a van & did mine at my office, which was convenient, but means he didn't take the tyre off. Did a good job though, on a painted alloy. Cost about £45 per wheel.

I've currently got a set being done by place not too far away from me.

Price includes bead blasting, powder coating, and then lacquering. Loads of different colours (I opted for the Pewter colour). Cost less than £100 for all 4 wheels.

Will let you know what the quality is like.

I have used Lepsoms in Kent a couple of times (Girfriend + Kerbs = owch) anyway they are £35+vat each for an acid bath, remachine, respray and rubber refit, not bad really and their gold is a really deep sexy colour.

The place to try,
though not used them myself (yet) is the alloy wheel hospital......

they have had features in kit car and(dare i say it one of the 'boyracer'modification type mags)
Both did a reasonable article and reckon that they did top jobs ,even with colour matching.

Now what i can say is i phoned them up (got 2 wheels to do)and was quite impressed when they told me that if some damage was too great then they would add alloy and then re-machine the wheel.(not to mention price which seemed reasonable)
The last place i contacted said all they could do would be to grind it down....like bo****ks they will.

ou can find them at
