Impreza WRX Club Spec Evo series gets high 5

Subaru has launched the latest in its Impreza WRX Club Spec Evo series, the 5, featuring an eye-catching orange paint scheme and extra features.

The All-Wheel Drive Impreza WRX Evo 5 includes a full electric factory-fitted sunroof – the first time this option has been available on any model Impreza WRX.

It also gets a 2DIN AM/FM radio cassette with six-stack in-dash CD changer.

Special decals and badging are featured outside, while each model is individually numbered on the centre console.
Just 140 Impreza WRX Evo 5 sedans and 60 hatches will be sold, all with manual transmissions.

Nick Senior, General Manager, Subaru Australia, said: "This is the first of the new generation Impreza WRX Club Spec Evo models and we anticipate strong interest.

"Impreza WRX has already been refined for this year with the addition of revised gear ratios in the manual, the introduction of the automatic version and keypad immobiliser alarm systems on all WRX variants.

"Combined with the extra features of Evo 5, we believe it represents excellent value as the additional cost is just $1,690 per vehicle."

Can't be much more than cosmetic changes if it's only about $1700 AUD over the base model.

That is absolutely minging - there is no way someone should be able to drive around in a car that colour. Imagine how many car drivers get distracted looking at horror at that car :)

Oh my god!!!! That is the worst colour for any car, especially a Scooby! I thought that colour was reserved for Rover ZR sad muppet drivers who wear Top Man suits and Rayban Wayfarer sunglasses!

For god sake let's hope Subaru UK don't start to import this carbunkle!! (No pun intended)

The Evo4 colour is much nicer, especially with the black wheels. Subaru actually call it "orange", i dont' know where they get that from!
