Green shoots of summer - what soundtrack
 

I am sitting in my suntrap garden typing this on a beautiful afternoon and a tune has just come on that to me is THE summer track.

If you could only pick one track to epitomise summer what would it be?

Mine is Offshore by Chicane - stunning track and amazing over twelve years old this year and as fresh as ever.

Pretty much every track on maverick strike by finlay quay and the whole of big calm by morcheeba.

It can only by ONE:-

"Summer Breeze" is a 1972 hit - best done by the The Isley Brothers in 1974.

You can smell the cut grass when you hear this song - The Isleys' version is notable not only for the harmonies of the three vocal Isleys O'Kelly, Rudolph and lead singer Ronald but also for the guitar solo by younger brother Ernie.
