Maf sensor

Hi Guys

I have the MAF sensor plugged into my car but the car would not start.
But when I unplugged it, the car started. Why is that??
Also can I drive the car without the Maf sensor??
Please if anyone can help!!!

sounds fubar? although the car shouldnt run without the maf plugged in!

dont drive it without the maf plugged in, could cause all sorts of problems. try get a known working one + swap it out see if it makes a difference

The cars probly running off the lambda sensor if the maf's not working. Try another maf.

IIRC when the cars running, when the maf is disconnected the car shud stall - thus showing that the maf is working correctly. However if the car continues to run after the maf is disconnected it is running on the lambda sensor.
