Just bought a td05 18g for my 03 wrx, what BHP can i expect?

As title, car is running 280 bhp with ecu-tek remap, k&n filter and blitz full system decated. If i add the td05 18g what power can i expect?

power ranger power:D

I'm no expert but won't you need bigger injectors and uprated intercooler too? :wonder: I was also advised to change the intercooler hoses and spark plugs prior to remapping, mine made 287BHP and has a Prodrive cat fitted.

yep sure you would need the above ^ with all that lot 340 ish

Yes....An 18G with the standard 380cc injectors is pointless because they will limit the car to around 300bhp.

Bigger Injectors, intercooler, fuel pump and the 18g could see 360ish.

Jam Performance 23 March 2009 10:01 PM

340 - 370 bhp :thumb: As above 550cc injectors, uprated fuel pump and intercooler is a must

mgcvk 23 March 2009 10:10 PM

You definitely need the Walbro fuel pump and Sti pink injectors. Your standard injectors are already pretty much maxed out. Intercooler should be alright to around 350bhp. Intercooler hoses would also be a good idea.

loony toon 23 March 2009 10:12 PM

Intercooler will be ok up to 400bhp :)

Bigger one will give you better cooling though :)

ruislip 23 March 2009 10:22 PM

nice one guys, well i havent got the funds for a fuel pump / injectors and bigger intercooler at the mo so ill have to stick it on until i get the above ;)

I run a bugeye on around 400 odd BHP with a Deadbolt / Andyforrest TD05 18G with a few mods .. I broke two 5 speed WRX gearboxes. LOL

I'd take a bit of time and chose your mapper first and take it from there.... :)

I'm running 356.9bhp with one of those

Black-Hawk 24 March 2009 07:29 PM

You sould get to 300bhp with another remap on your current mods (fit an uprated fuel pump too), your injectors will be at their limits by then so 505cc or 550's would be a good upgrade, your intercooler would be the next restriction at around 330bhp, my advice would be get the bits together, fuel pump/ cooler plugs/ version 8 tmic/ injectors/ and a de-cat up-pipe, put them all on and get Andy F to map it (other mappers are available) then you'll be getting the most out of the 18g = circa 360bhp:)
