What car - £3kish, able to carry 2 baby seats and be fun

I'm struggling with what car to buy at the minute. The car will be a second car used for fun and when I need to carry the 2 kids as the land rover isn't able to carry 2 baby seats.

I currently run a Porsche 944 S2 cabrio which will be going shortly as from June I will be needing to carry 2 baby seats and the 944 only has lap belts in the back, hence can only carry 1 baby seat.

What I want is something slightly different from the normal Ford Focus, VW Golf, etc. The car will only do a few k miles a year so fuel consumption isn't a major issue, it must have rear 3 point belts and be sensible enough to be used as a kiddy carrier.

A few thoughts have been

Vectra V6 SRi/Mondeo ST24 - plenty of toys, quite quick, cheap but is it really that exciting
BMW 540i - loads of car for the money but is it going to cost me a fortune to maintain?
Jag XJ6/X type - a bit too old man ish but alot of car for the money
classic scoob - been there, done that, not going to be great for £3k

Any other suggestions?

Nissan : nissan 200sx s14a turbo
Not sure what rear seat belts are like though

Mitsubishi : MITSUBISHI LEGNUM VR-4 TWIN TURBO TIPTRONIC EST v.
Certainly a bit different

200SX is so impractical for 2 young kids.

Why will £3k not get a great Impreza?

I've been thinking of getting a blob eye wrx for not a great deal more than that. Some of the classic Imprezas I've seen for lately go for peanuts, even ones with loads of history and 'proper' rebuilds.

I've got 2 babies and I ran a 320 bhp saloon Impreza for nearly a year with no problems. Now I've got an ultra rare Golf 1.8T (gti) estate on an 02 for £2200. It's not got rip roaring performance or sports looks but its ok.
