Because the springs are softer your just getting to that "lean peak" a lot quicker!

springs and anti roll bars softer and softer complience bushes as well

So you also know the the steering is now more responsive too! ;)

I've always liked the new car.
If I had the money I would buy the new STi over any of the previous models

From a frontal view they look not too bad, but IMO that's where it ends. Those Chav clear lights look hideous, they just cheapen the car to look like all the other Ned mobiles racing round the one-way system.

The STi needs 18" wheels to fill those arches, the 17"s are lost and they don't even look like a quality wheel. Subaru will charge you £2K for a set of 18's (and don't forget to ask for the 17" as you have bought 2 sets), why can't they offer a simple wheel upgrade for £500 like any other manufacture. This really pisses me off and one of the reasons I wouldn't buy one.

The boot is also too small. The Impreza saloon was a good pratical car with a decent size boot. The level of trim in the new car is not really up there either. I also have an Octavia vRS and it is so much better than the Scooby in so many depts.

With the failure of the WRC hatch and subsequent withdrawal, I'm afraid the Impreza hatch is born under a bad sign. Success in motorsport sells cars, I think the new Focus RS will be testimony to this and if I was buying a performance hatch I'm afraid it would have a blue oval.

It's the BBS that are £2k, I got 18" prodrive GT1's with Goodyear F1a, £1500 inc. fitting from a main dealer.

OK not £500 but awesome wheels nevertheless - not some sh*te ugly options that Audi / BMW / Ford etc. try to palm you off with.

And as for boot size, I had a Hawkeye WRX wagon & the boot in this one is more or less the same size - if you've got dogs the saloon is no-use & the Hawkeye wagon is soooo ugly compared to the hatchback - either in wrx or bulged arch STI guise.

At least now they do an STI in 5 door!
