Vaio laptop screen acting strange
 

Hi guys, hope you can shed some light to this, i have a vaio laptop that first made a pinky effect to the screen and them flickering. After the flickering it was faded to one side of the screen and now it's completely gone blank though i can just about make out the computer is on. Basically the light has gone off, the laptop in question is only 2 years old.

Would this be related to the graphics card, monitor or the something like a loose connection or something inside?

I've connected it to a external monitor and it seems to work, i'm not to sure if this has anything to do with it but my cousin was using another laptop ontop of it :( for a period of time so worried the heat my be the cause of this.

Was just questioning the VAIO for being reliable compared to my new laptop which seems to overheat!
