What driving/racing games would you like to see for the PS3 ?.
Them ideas that you reckon would arrive before GT5 is out;) .I wouldn't mind a touring car game from different eras or Le mans game from the first ever race to today's high octance stuff or a game like Grand Prix Legends on the PC.A 4x4 game like Screamer 4x4 only better.
|
Wouldn't mind a banger racing game with caravans or something.Sportscar racing ( Silk cut Jaguars etc ) maybe is a popular idea.Truck racing maybe.
|
Anyone got more ideas ?.

I'd buy a game where you had to re-enact famous car chases/car sequences from films. In a burnout style but with routes and cinematic scenes that match the films closely and you get points/awards for matching the scenes exactly or even better awards for creating a better looking/more exciting scene.
Ability to save and upload sequences in HD too. The last scene in Gone in 30 Seconds with a bit more flair or the ferrari scene from The Rock with a few more jumps and spins - that would be cool. |
Yeah that would be good.Have you played NFS HP much recently Hank ?.I tried to play GPL on a laptop but the 3dfx drivers were deleted for some reason.
|
Not for a couple of years, I still have two copies of it my big cd wallet so maybe need to fire it on the laptop.
On the other hand, maybe best left as nostalgia and not revisited.... |

Split/Second reminds me a bit of Stuntman, looks like it could be a laugh:
Disney Interactive Studios -- PRODUCTS |
Yeah, combination of Stuntman, Burnout, Driver et all but with cinema tie in.
Any scenario has a number of elements, match them you score, beat them, you score high. Doing the big Ronin Parisian chase in a mini from The Italian Job or something from Smokey and the Bandit in a 007 DBS - I'd have fun with that. Will be taking a look at Wheelman due this or next month but not convinced by the trailers. |
I tried the Wheelman demo (it's on xbox live) the other day. Seemed quite entertaining. Bit like GTA without the swearing :)

3/10
won't be buying |
Why, what's wrong with it?
|
Didn't look great, didn't like the controls (hold brake and throttle to drift??), didn't like the shooting aspect, didn't like the bird shouting at me, didn't like the airjack, didn't like the melee thing where you do a sideways shuffle, didn't like the focus gauge concept, didn't like the scenery damage.
Liked the fact it was in a car, liked the fact you could smack the car into things. So having thought about it - 2/10, still won't be buying. |
not got a ps3 but i'd like to see APB come out for the ps3 or xbox 360 if anyone remembers it on the amiga .
it was supposed to have been on the cards but i dont know what happened to it. or lotus esprit challenge as on the spectrum :norty: |
I don't think it's meant to be anything like the old skool version, more MMO: All Points Bulletin - Realtime Worlds
