Picture size in thread issues.

I'm guessing that this is since the upgrade. When i open a thread and someone has posted a big ass picture, it now shows as a big ass picture. Before the upgrade, the picture would be squashed to suit the thread window and you could click it to see full size if you wish. Is there an option anywhere to go back to the way it was?

:D

+1

I was coming to start a similar thread. I think Ive mentioned it in a bugs thread somewhere else too, although I cant find it.

Give me an example please chaps and I will see if it can be toned down somewhat. :)

Brun 11 March 2009 08:25 AM

Here's one. There is worse but i only had a quick look. This was annoying a while back but then the pic size was limited by the admin to 800x600 IIRC which made the thread scanning experience so much better :thumb:

Evolution Stu 11 March 2009 09:26 AM

Ok, let me look into the best way to go as the photography boys would like larger ones so we need to find a compromise. :)

Brun 11 March 2009 09:33 AM

Just large ones in the Photgraphy forum then ;) :thumb:
Cheers Stu :D

Definitely :thumb:

Is it possible to just have the larger format in the photo section and smaller in NSR/General?

I'm sure the members gallery would like large format and the car care section too.

BTTT
Can we please have big pics only in the Photo forum as i seem to spend my life scrolling across the screen.

Example here

:( :wall:

John1uk 05 April 2009 10:38 AM

surprised this hasn't been done yet...such a simple task to make all pics on forum show at 600x600, from admins side :D

This way members wont have to spen ages scrolling alomg the forum, as it knocks the page out of sync with the logo etc.

Is there no way the pics could be set to one size (FAS 800x600) with a click to enlarge button for those who want the pics large?? :wonder:

Evolution Stu 17 April 2009 10:16 AM

Hi Guys,
Its not actually simple at all as it requires a plugin and I have requested this be looked into. We can alter the size of attached pictures, but not pictures linked to externally.

Brun 22 April 2009 10:52 AM

Whichever pluggin we used to have before the upgarde will be fine ;)

If your happy to use as plugin that doesn't work with this version of VBulletin then I can request that no problem, although it would seem pointless to me. ;)

Brun 22 April 2009 01:10 PM

:p

Bring back the old version

Evolution Stu 24 April 2009 09:41 PM

Should be set to 600 now.

Brun 25 April 2009 08:33 AM

Cheers for the effort Stu but there doesn't seem to be any difference to me in the links i posted above. Am i doing sommat wrong now?

Evolution Stu 28 April 2009 07:21 AM

Should be fixed now pal. Please test.

I am getting pretty p1ssed off having to slide the page over just to read a full stop. Its taken the fun out of SN.

Us wimmins don't need to see nipples the size of golf balls :thumb:

Evolution Stu 28 April 2009 04:02 PM

I presume that is your way of saying it has failed your test?

Example link please?

Personally im dissapointed that we have actively removed thousands of nipples the size of golf balls, but hey ho, I guess sometimes we just have to make sacrafices. :(

Easily solved by a simple click on the picture :thumb:

I just had to log back on again so i have not seen if you have pictured the picture size issue :p

As for golf ball size nipples, why don't the mens bits look very big on SN? :Suspiciou

I think this may be because contrary to the owners boasts, they arent even very big when viewed life size either. LOL :D

Stu,

Thx for the auto pic resize setting, but why has it been set to 640x480 ? It's too small imo. Can it not be a resize to 800x600 like it use to be?

Thanks also for the multiquote button update, looks alot better :thumb:
