Sold my MY00 in November to move to London. Now missing the car and thinking I should get something else....

Wait, let me clarify, sold the scoob because I knew I would only need the car at weekends (walk to work) and that I would lose a fair bit in depreciation over the next 12 months.

So now I am looking for a car for under £20k that need not be practical....but do I want to go as extreme as a no doors Westfield?? Not sure. Also want a car that won't lose too much in depreciation whilst sitting in the garage. Only plan to keep for 12 months then change it for something else. Fancy a 2 door probably 2 seater but open to suggestions.

Have considered the following.....

TVR Chimaera - maintenance??? Are these the sort of cars that don't run well if not used regularly? But sound great heh heh

Porsche 968CS - Hard to find a nice un, but great cars I think. Are they expensive to maintain?

Honda S2000 - Depreciation?? Not sure seem quite in demand?

Another Scoob!! Maybe an STi V Coupe import jobbie??

Lotus Elise - Not sure, never been in one.

You can tell from the list I am after a drivers car btw...and don't want a FWD car (no offence Type-R's)

Your views and advice would be cool on any of the above....thanks, H.

BTW if I had the cash I would buy a 993....:)

Try a Honda NSX: I bought one after struggling to find a replacement for my WRX.

They never seem to go wrong, have very stable depreciation and you won't find better without going to a Ferrari dealership.

Only one problem - there's no owners forum hence I still read this one!

My mate mentioned an NSX to me about the same time you must have posted a reply...

Not sure about that, will have a look into it though, thanks...H.
