Which new cars look good (or bad) in white?
 

It seems that the 2008 and 2009 stand-out colour on many sporting models is white. But it seems to work better on some makes/models than others and is very sensitive to body shape and wheel style.

In my opinion:
GOOD:
BMW 3 series M-sport saloon or coupe
Audi S3
911 GT3

BAD:
3 series SE touring or CC
M5
Range Rover Sport
1 series (colour can't disguise what's ultimately an ugly shape)

opinions please ...

Good - Audi S5
(I walked past a dealer last year that had a display of S3, S5 and R8 in white and I think I got a stiffy)
Bad - Anything Mercedes, they just look poop in white.

Dare I say it, but the new Focus RS looks best in white from the pics I've seen.

BAD:
XC90
Any big 4x4

GOOD:
Fiat 500 Abarth (new)

Scirocco looks good although a bit like a Stormtroopers helmet!

I agree with the Range Rover one...saw one in white the other day - yuck! And saw a white M5 too...surprisingly ugly! :o

New facelift ST looks gorgeous in white, the S3...the standard A3 too...Volvo C30...Golf GTi...the Cupra K1...I actually think the Mercedes look amazing in white...they really suit it!

Legacy Spec B estate looks good in white.
Land Cruisers look good too - just need a pale blue beret to go with it.

The inlaws had a white LC Amazon and really struggled to sell it because it was white!
The white LR Defender 90 pick up sold easily though.

I'll probably get slated for this but I really like my Seat Leon FR in white. Looks better than the Golf MK5 i reckon.

but then again she likes white because its a safe colour.

I think she started buying white cars in 1950 something or other.

I once did a piece of work at Unichem - you could have any car you liked but it had to be white!!

Volvo estates do not look good in white!

My mum's got a Volvo C30 in white and i've got to say, I think it looks damn good (if you ignore the f'ing ugly back end). She says it gets a shed load of attention as well, more than any car she's driven in a while.

the new lambo (like the reventon) i actually like the new impreza hatch in white (with rcm graphics)

Only problem is the lambo reventon only comes in one colour and it's NOT white!

I'm also a fan of the new mercedes c and e class in white. It doesn't seem to suit the new s-class though :confused:

i wasn't on about the reventon cos thats only in carbon i meant the new road car it was based on, can't remember the model i think it might be the LP560 but not sure

X6 looks ace in white, as does the Q7 as long as it has the right wheels etc.

Theres a white discovery on pistonheads that looks awesome
