Help!!!! Flat Spot When Accelerating

Hello right i recently got a new Subaru Impreza r sport 2006 model only done 29000 miles. Only had it like a month and the other night driving home i put it into 3rd and accelerated from 30/40mph and between 2500rpm until 3500rpm it seems to loose power and then on 3500rpm it gets all it's power back with a sudden burst. I have plugged and ECU reader in and no error codes have come up. Does anyone have an idea???

Thanks Michael

Interesting to hear what your problem was, my 2006 Legacy ej20 does the exact same thing..

go to a dealer and get them to check the pak files on the select monitor, i know that there is a rewrite for the legacys and with a new knock sensor as well it cures them but i dont know about the imprezas i'll check tomorrow if i get time what engine size is it

Thanks for the info, apparently Subaru agency charges nothing to update to the latest mappings, anything particular i should request from them whilst mapping??

Regards

you can't as it's a set program for a specific part of the software you would need a proper mapper to redo the whole thing

Hola. Viendo este foro paso a consultar si este problema ya ha sido solucionado. Ya que mi vehículo presenta la misma falla y lamentablemente en mi pais el servicio Tecnico de SUBARU dice que no existe tal reprogramacion.
