Site a lot slower

Now it doesnt load the frame, headers and adverts quickly everything is a lot slower and I get a blank grey screen for about 10 seconds then it all loads at once

That is here at home as well as in the office

Navigation is a little bit, well ...... just need to get used to it I think

Not tried anything else yet

I have seen mentioned that a number of features have had to go, can these be identified in a sticky so that we know ?

adehook 03 March 2009 06:38 PM

i got a **** load of ??????? marks all over the forum

on a mac that is so presume red XXX's on windows

Sonic' 03 March 2009 06:43 PM

Yes I agree with the Navigation now, it doesnt work properly

I have to use the back button on my browser instead of the navigation buttons as it takes me back to the main page and not the list of forums

Sonic' 03 March 2009 06:46 PM

Also I take it Myscooby and the plus profile has all been wiped out

i cant remember what pictures I uploaded or the list of mods etc I had on mine

In my control panel I think the my scooby avatar option is set to not display but it is displaying

Sonic' 03 March 2009 06:51 PM

Ive attached a screenshot in case I wasnt clear on the navigation issue

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...himp/snnew.jpg

The red circled area should point to https://www.scoobynet.com/forum.php and not https://www.scoobynet.com

Also is there anyway of being able to turn the notice off, even at the 1900 screen res I am running, I have to scroll down quite a bit before I get to the threads (having to get past all the adverts and banners etc)

warrtster 03 March 2009 07:05 PM

Full screen option not working for me either - my screen width is 1920 and the actual posting area takes up just over half of this width, the rest is either white space or adverts!

adehook 03 March 2009 07:05 PM

any idea about the question marks on some items?

mickywrx 03 March 2009 07:50 PM

Instaban has been removed? So what do I do since I don't have a fcuking RTM button??????? :nono:

It's slower as mentioned, as there are now even more things going on "Waiting for XYZ"

Notices at the top, I've read it already... make it go away.

Bloody BMW in the garage section. It's Scoobynet not BMWnet :p ;)

Full screen don't work.

Etc, etc, ETCETERA.

Oh and I don't like the homepage, very PF which is awful IMO, and I really dislike the turquoise colouring.

mickywrx 03 March 2009 08:01 PM

Can now RTM away. :D

Give the mods some work to do. ;) Liked the instaban though :(

Sonic' 03 March 2009 08:09 PM

And Micky you *still* have 2 plus member badges :lol1:

richiewong 03 March 2009 08:10 PM

Hey Micky we've still got our double badges but I've noticed a few of the mods have this as well. The double badge club has gone right down hill;)

Leftsided list seems to be getting worse:confused:

chocolate_o_brian 03 March 2009 08:26 PM

1. The page widths seem to be pre-determined on whether a picture has been posted. Before any pics posted were resized automatically to fit the page display without having to scroll across.

2. Currently in the "wags" thread in Members gallery, page 58 is the end of the thread. (or was 5 mins ago). But there is a page 59 somehow, which redirects you to the top of page 58. I presume this may continue to pages 59-60, 60-61 etc.etc. with a link to the top of the previous page.

3. The Scoobynet link at the top takes you to the general Scoobynet homepage, not the forum homepage like it used too. Makes navigation a royal p.i.t.a.

Cheers :)

MadOli 03 March 2009 09:08 PM

not really a fault, but there's a few makes and models missing off the garage list
eg Vauxhall, Rover, MG, Renault, Citroen, Nissan Skyline, a lot of Ford's including Mondeos (not too bothered about that one myself, I'd rather pretend they don't exist too :lol1:), lots of Fiats...
in fact there's loads missing - it definitely seems very USA-orientated!

Spoon 03 March 2009 09:15 PM

Found this one.

Sonic' 03 March 2009 09:32 PM

Micky

I know the secret ;)

Anyway I didnt think you could RTM your own posts, ive never seen the RTM button on any of my posts as much I would have liked to have RTM'd them, the button was just never there :D

Sonic' 03 March 2009 09:33 PM

Now how weird is that, I can now RTM my own posts

jods 03 March 2009 10:01 PM

My mailbox has reduced allowed # of messages to 25 only - It used to be much higher than that

+Doc+ 03 March 2009 10:18 PM

In the members Gallery, Show us your wags thread.

The thread amount says 60 pages, however when you click on 60 it takes you to 59 and 60 is still there.

sti-chris 03 March 2009 10:34 PM

+Doc+ 03 March 2009 10:53 PM

Sonic' 04 March 2009 12:48 AM

How come some usernames are orange, some blue, some black ? they dont seem to tally up with the relevant membership level

mate. It is a bug in how the forum displays it with Safari. I presume you might be running safari 4 beta (which I am as well) and I get the same ???? everywhere. Hopefully the final version of safari might sort it out , if not then firefox will do it for you

I know the response has been 'the navigation has changed - get used to it' - but please reconsider the point above
