Anyone done/doing BNI (business club)?
I attended one last week (06:30:razz:) and remain quite intrigued.
It's essentially a business networking group that people attend to share leads/recommendations/advice and to generate more business for themselves and their 'new' mates. Business Networking - BNI UK Whilst there isnt much doubt that it does do that, its money every week, a joining fee, a membership fee and then you are also expected to help manage the running of it and recruit new members. Nice little earner there for someone!!! It is also a bit 'American'... However it may well be worth it, so anyone any experience here? Cheers D |
a friend does it (Cambridge area)
He thinks its quite useful etc, especially if you have a product or services that would appeal to small/medium businesses but it does sound a bit Ra RA American to me |
Not for me but I know my accountants are part of this and they are a big company that would not spend money on something that would not work. I think I found a solicitor through my accountant who met through BNI and my book keepers are also part of it so maybe it works?

ive herd thease things can be very good for buisness.do you have to pay ?
|
yeah you have to pay. I used to attend business for breakfast, if you can afford it, it might and the word there is might get you some leads, but I got more return on sending letters out through the local chamber of commerce than I did in 3 months of attending. and 6:30 in the morning isnt for me as i'm a night person.
