centre diff problem

Hi my car has developed a nasty habbit of not wanting to turn when its warm the wheels feel like they are skipping on full lock, after doing a search i think its the viscous coupling? how easy are they to change and would a uk one be the same as a wrx classic both cars are my99. any help much appreciated.

I have my original P1 viscous centre diff that would work - bolts on the back of the main gearbox after dropping the prop. It's located at Zen Performance (after they fitted my dccd centre diff instead) and Paul there could answer any questions you may have 0845 055 9366

Good luck

sorry to butt in, but....is it a straight swap from a VC centre diff from a P1 to a DCCD unit from same year of car, and without the dial and ecu etc im assuming the DCCD sets into 35:65 mode?

If so how much are we talking to have this done as am sure it could make the car more, errm..fun;)

yes it's a straight swap, yes it sits at 35:65, dccd diffs vary in price £300 up to £500, plus a couple of hours labour max. Wiring up kit takes a bit longer and you'd have to buy either the OEM wiring bits and bobs or a neetronics controller for another few hundred quid. Yes it does make it more fun ;)

Paul at Zen above is the man to ask - he'll be there tomorrow until lunchtime ish. He did my original P1 to 5 speed dccd plus wiring and dash etc, and has just swapped my 5 spd for a 6 speed dccd.
