Car stalls at idle when warm - MAF sensor?

Hi,
I just had the clutch done on my my99 sportwagon and since getting it back it wont idle once its warmed up.

Car runs fine from cold, but once its warm, if I take my foot off the accelerator pedal it dies.

Is this the dreaded MAF sensor?

Update: the garage have just tried this with the MAF unplugged and tell me it runs better. but they say they cant fit a new one - that I have to go to a Suberu dealer (shudder £90 per hour) to sort this.

Anyone in the fleet farnborough aldershot area know someone who can do this properly on a scoob?

Thanks

Trev

Phone Subaru4u in Newbury. Ask for a diagnostic scan, assuming you can persuade the car to get there.

Sounds like the problem my Type R has, and thats maf related ;) but a diagnostic machine will tell you 100% and if you have to take it in to get one you may as well get it diagnosed correctly :)

Tony:)
