Advice please V4 ECU

Im looking to source a second hand Apexi Commander, my car is a 1998 Type r V4. Is it 3 plug or 4 plug???? If I manage to source one used I take it you can scrub the map and re programme to suit vehicle??

3 pin (if in doubt have alook at your standard ecu) and it is fully remappable
