I like these alot, but ditch that nasty speaker in the boot....:lol1:

robwils 15 February 2009 06:45 PM

looks nice, how do you rate head unit you fitted ??

Been looking for new one for a while.

greatgonzo 15 February 2009 06:58 PM

Hi mate
Yeah its OK the thing I like about it that its nice and easy to use,All the functions are easy to access.
Plus its what Subaru use as an upgrade, and I think the dials on the head unit seem to match in with the car nicely.
I have 4 Alpine's in the doors and 2 other things on the parcel shelf can not remember what there called but they are bloody good and up rated tweeters at the front and the head unit runs all that very nicely.
I also have the blue tooth phone thing with it, but I would not recommend that (big and ugly) Can not remember what I payed but it was not much maybe under £200.00 I think,Off the inter-web:)

funny that's what the wife keeps saying, cant get all the shopping in:)
I have a bass controller on a dial switch so you can adjust it. It can get on your nerves when the radio is on, but well good with Cd's:luxhello:

beef-on-the-bone 15 February 2009 07:06 PM

nice :)

i know it defeats the point of being a spec d, but could do with a front lip for me.....

greatgonzo 15 February 2009 07:20 PM

Yeah I know I was thinking the same, but the wife and I use the car as a work horse (work and ferrying 2 kids around) and I was worried about hitting kerbs when parking and stuff, Is it a problem with them? or is it all in my head?:freak3:

Midnight Runner 15 February 2009 07:26 PM

RE SPLITTER - Think the HT Auto's one is flexible so can take a knock

jayb1970 15 February 2009 07:57 PM

Very nice mate:thumb:
Don't blame you upgrading the stereo, I've done the same. The standard one is truly sh1t.

I do like yours but the standard single din stereo in the Spec-D is already pretty good:)

Never had a problem with mine. Just need to be careful parking nose in not to catch it on high kerbs.

Nice car.... but then I'm biased..! :thumb:

Yeah you are right mate, they are very good units (Pioneer) fitted as standard to the spec d's. I just found it a bit tricky to use and fancied a change.
Sold it on Ebay made a bloody fortune :luxhello:
