McRAE GATHERING PRESENTATION IS CANCELLED

Sorry for the short notice but regrettably we have to cancel the presentation of funds to Jimmy McRae that was due to take place on Sunday 15 February in Lanark.

I’ve just been told that the presentation cannot go ahead and that we have to cancel it.

I will give more information in due course.

A rescheduled date will be announced as soon as we have one.

Please do not travel to Lanark on Sunday.
Please spread the word.

We will update our website as soon as we can (our webmaster is not contactable at the moment).

Our sincere apologies for any disruption we have caused, this really is our only option and there is no way around it.

What happened ?

Am guessing the release of the report into te crash and the presentation only a few days apart may seem a little too close for comfort? :(

id say you guessed correctly.

yes, the presentation was cancelled following a request from the McRae family.

we couldnt tell you the real reason until the accident report was released to the press and became public knowledge.

sorry for any hassles this may have caused those that had made plans, got time off work, booked accommodation etc etc to come up to see the handover,

i hope you understand now why it had to be called off.

it just wasnt the right time for us to do it.

Just travelled from Inverness, probably best, the weather is terrible!

:cry: Sorry that the event has been cancelled but as I had already booked hotel. I am in lanark when I found out. :brickwall So going to be here all weekend anyway.
