Thinking of spraying my calipers.
Got a white STI RA with black wheels and was thinking of spraying my calipers, but not sure what colour.
Any suggestions or pics of similar? |
Either pink or blue...
No pics to hand though! |
Yellow
|
I was thinking of a lime greeny colour, but not sure if this would look stupid?!?
|
red, lime green would look silly. It is your car though.
|
red yellow or black is the only colour , and you will have to hand paint them rather than spray them . they will come out better
|
You can get blue, red, black and yellow, personally its either red or black, and these come in kits, you soak them first which removes all the crap thats on them, leave them to dry for a day or two then paint them, you may have to totally strip your calipers if you do it this way though, and rebuild them with a caliper seal kit.

my bro did calipers red his on his audi tt, he bought a boxed caliper painting kit, from (i feel a bit silly calling it halfords as no-one else does so,), halfraudulents, come out pretty good too, he did spend a lot of time with a drill and wire brush first though.

They dont come much better than this.

You should paint them black to match your wheels and tyres.

HI
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...brakes016a.jpg i used smoothrite(hammerite) spray, then for the white writing i used smoothrite paint applied using a hard radiator roller(the hardest type you can find) as this only applies paint to the letters with them being raised. Did the same for the backs, however used a sticker for the letters http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...nox/rear-1.jpg :) |
what about the gold brembo paint? Where do you get that from?:wonder:
|
Did you paint these on the car or were they removed
|
I panted them off the car, before replaceing the rubbish 2 pots.
