scoobynet plus member advert problem

as a plus member I have blocked all advertising as per the option on my profile. however this isnt working and I am seeing all adverts, can you tell me why this is? this was one of the main reasons for me paying the £25 to be a plus member.

Banner Advert Display Options ScoobyNet is a very expensive site to run. It costs ScoobyNet money, every time you load a page. In order to help cover these costs, we deliver advertising to those pages.

ScoobyNet Plus subscribers, however, pay an annual or monthly fee for added benefits, and we have allocated part of that fee to cover the costs of the pages that member loads. As such, we have provided, as a thank you, the ability to customise how you see the advertising.

We strongly recommend retaining as much of the adverts as possible, because there are often very interesting offers and products, which are - in the main - tailored to your inerests as best we can. But if you would prefer to switch them off, you are more than welcome to, and we thank you for your support.

These settings will only take affect for ScoobyNet Plus Subscribers. To Subscribe to ScoobyNet Plus click here.

Agree Ian but its much easier for me to file it as a problem if i get a screenshot of the problem as the webteam will simply ask me to do this when I file it due to the amount of sites they are servicing.

I think it may be the same one that gets on my nerves a bit.

Hope that helps.

I must note that it's not the content, just the fact it can't be made to go away.

Top man, will look into it now. :)

And now showing as below;

Whats next, side banner ads that aren't turned off?

I "personally" don't think this is a glitch.

What with all the ad.doubleclick etc crap that's slowing things down.

Kindly, IB, remove finger from backside and sort this out, please.

Thanks.

Use adblock which is an add on for Firefox, that'll sort it :thumb:
