how to notice an import

  hi troops was looking for help on solving a dispute wi ma bro
i have just got a new scooby and as far as am concerned its not an import purely becoz its got on the docs that it was first registered new in the uk
however he says hes got reciepts (as he bought it originally) to say its an import (ive yet to c them) and also coz its got two vin plates one in english other in japanise
so basically whats the difference on a uk 2.0 sport to an import
cheers for reading:confused:

If you're young then an import will be dearer. Although that might not be the case if you're an old codger. ^^^^^

If its a 4dr Saloon, has it got a Rear Wiper?? If so, then I'm 99.9% sure that its an import car.

The insurance jump from a Sport to a WRX or STi will be mental.

Grant

Imports have 6 digit vin .Look at your fuse box cover inside your car and see if its in Japanese and the labels under the bonnet are in japanese and imports have rear wiper and electric folding wing mirrors
