insuring JDM's and a few other Q's

Being 24 insuring a uk sti ppp is not going to be cheap but have found some prices that i think are acceptable. I have purposfully steared clear of JDM cars as i assume that this will add a massive premium to any policy and many insurers will not even quote, can anyone confirm or disprove this?

Also - Type 25 or top spec C type ra-r

Whats the difference between a type ra and a type ra-r (in the newage models not classics)

Cheers!

Contact Gary Moulson Highways Insurance 0208 642 7868 (Moley_WRX on here) he insured my Type 25 for less than I was paying on my old classic

...you will have to be patient though, he's always on the phone....

I'e had 3 UK & 2 JDM's

Most of the quotes I've had have been simular for UK/JDM with simular power ;) my JDM 350bhp Type20 is EXACTLY the same as a WR1.

Some companies will not quote for ANY scoob if under 25's

Both are on my wish list :D best to see specialist insurers for those, hope you've won the lottery :D

And RA's and RA-R's are JDM but can't imagine a hugely different quote for either compared to a UK STi.

Well I recently bought a 1996 STI RA Ver 2 and hardly anyone would touch me insurance wise because of my age. I'm 23 with 3 points and no claims against my name.

Some insurance companies were quoting me £3800, £2000!!! I was just to give up before I rang Greenlight. They got me a policy through Highway Insurance for £987.70 and added my dad on as a named driver at no extra cost.

Excellent service and a very well run company....so try them mate.
