Buying a vehicle in NI - anything I need to be aware of?

Guys,

I'm taking the easyjet to Belfast on Saturday to buy a race transporter.

I've never bought a vehicle from Ireland before- is there anything I need to know, other than the usual stuff that applies to buying vehicles.

I'll be driving it back to the ferry. It has tax and MOT.

Thanks :)

No - just the usual stuff.

BTTT, yes, you will have to have an Ulster Fry :luxhello: installed into your stomach :)

Yes indeed.

An Ulster fry will set you up for the journey back home.

Not terribly heathly granted, but lovely.

When you get back to the UK you'll need to go to your local DVLA office and get the DVLNI V5C(NI) changed over to a DVLA V5C so it's registered on the mainland...put the old NI plate on retention and flog it while getting a UK registration, or register on the NI plate.

Thanks for that.. already got a plate for it. Will insure before we collect it :)
