Buying a vehicle in NI - anything I need to be aware of?
Guys,
I'm taking the easyjet to Belfast on Saturday to buy a race transporter. I've never bought a vehicle from Ireland before- is there anything I need to know, other than the usual stuff that applies to buying vehicles. I'll be driving it back to the ferry. It has tax and MOT. Thanks :) |

BTTT, yes, you will have to have an Ulster Fry :luxhello: installed into your stomach :)
|
Yes indeed.
An Ulster fry will set you up for the journey back home. Not terribly heathly granted, but lovely. Shaun |
just remember if not insured it will be taken by the police
insure it on racday insurance, done mines for 23 quid for 24 hours |
When you get back to the UK you'll need to go to your local DVLA office and get the DVLNI V5C(NI) changed over to a DVLA V5C so it's registered on the mainland...put the old NI plate on retention and flog it while getting a UK registration, or register on the NI plate.
|
Thanks for that.. already got a plate for it. Will insure before we collect it :)
