Rad pipe

Hi, had to bled the coolant the other day due to inlet pipe split, so had a bit of bling pipe put in, now the the top red pipe is hot but the bottom does feel so hot, and looks like its going pop, ha, any one can help?:wonder: I did do it careful, and also left the top of tank so it air would come out. Is this an air lock or some thing major?
I guess this has come up before, but boy these threads go really fast on here. Thanks guys:thumb:

Air lock from the sounds of things....how long did you keep the car running for before turning it off and giving up?

Plus what car is it mate?

Jesus, quick reply.
I left it for about 5mins i think, then squeezed the top and bottom pipes.

I have a UK turbo, MY00
Will this cause problems?

I would honestly run it a lot more.....infact me personally i try to run mine thinking i will wait till the fans come on, lol never works though so you have to keep feeling for water return on the upper rad return pipe and satisfy yourself that its ok and keep that expansion tank cap off and keep monitoring water....and keep topping as required but don't go anywhere just stand there, or get another to help.

Good Luck

ok buddy will do, I did have the cap off, but thought if i left it to long it would get to hot. Will sort out, and see how it goes. Cheers for the help and advice.

What would happen if i had not noticed it ? Damaged wise?
