Arg! Rabbits...

A few months ago I received two 'girl' rabbits from Freecycle that were in need of a home (Mother and Daughter).

I now have the Mother rabbit making a nest, pulling out hair and getting fat. Apparently an immaculate conception and the next resurrection has got mixed up and will be a rabbit instead (or maybe the previous owners made a mistake with the sex of the little rabbit ...).

So if anyone would like a baby rabbit in a few weeks time, let me know ...

Steve

Wait for people who keep snakes and reptiles to reply now.

So if it wasn't a little girl rabbit, then it was a little boy one?

So if I'm understanding this properly, your trying to off load a mutant rabbit that has come about by a little boy rabbit shagging his mum? :Suspiciou :lol1:

Basically! Although I'm going to keep any that appear to have super powers or potential to enter the Royal Family...

It could be a phantom pregnancy. Have you checked the little bunny to see if he/she has any bollox? :)

Kieran_Burns 19 January 2009 04:58 PM

If it comes out looking like this:

don't buy it!!!

Phantom pregnancies arent uncommon in rabbits.
get someone to hold it on its back while you have a rummage between its legs - rabbit nads are generally flat grey flaps either side of the business area - quite hard to see unless you have a close look. Also, press just above its naughty place and see if a willy pops out or not. Its less than a centimeter long normally.

Okay, after having spent 5 minutes looking at Rabbit porn and then comparing it. It IS a boy, so little mutant bunnies here we come ... and as it has started to create the next in the next day or two apparently.

Well, five rabbits popped out this afternoon. Unfortunately one of them was dead, so I removed it. Leaving four little things.

Aaaahhhhhh..............look at their little big ears! :luvlove:

yoza 23 January 2009 07:03 PM

Sell them to that guy who wants to elongate his manhood buy buying a Rifle and murdering them.

Should be quite hard to hit them when they are little babies.

Steve have you moved the male to another cage? Apart from them breeding straight away the male in the cage with the babies could eat them or be killed himself by an extremely protective mother.

Good luck with looking after that lot! Our 3 are more work than I like so 6 will keep you busy :lol1:

Yes the male has been moved -- he was already trying again as the babies were coming out!

I guess the phrase 'at it like rabbits' is actually true ...

Well, as there are four little ones I was thinking that rabbit kebab was more appropriate.
