Anyone kow where I can buy a Volvo 940 alternator near Basildon in a hurry?

I don't normally post in this section, being from Wales, but I've just broken down and the RAC have towed me to my hotel (The Travel Inn on Five Bells Roundabout just off the A13) and in the morning want me to buy an alternator for them to fit.

Where would be the recommended place that's likely to have one in stock and not charge me a fortune, preferably a recon jobbie where they will take my old one off me in exchange, alternatively a scrapyard unit would be fine if you can recommend a nearby scrap yard. The car only needs to last me another month or so.

Yeah, there are 6 scrapyards in Basildon, one of them had a broken phone and 4 of them only do Ford spares. I guess Essex boys really do love their Capris :)

The other one had a couple of 740 ones and the RAC guy gave me a lift and checked them over to pick out the one that would actually fit, stuck it on the car for me, jump started it, checked it was actually charging the battery, job done. Top notch job from the RAC there!
