knock sensor fault,maf????
 
hi everyone, just read a fault code 22 (knock sensor) as my cel came on today for a few seconds and car suffered hesitation,im thinking about replacing this sensor but im not sure wether to replace the maf aswell for peace of mind really,the car is ecutek remapped,so:wonder: :thumb: will i need to reset ecu after fitment of the sensor/ sensors?any info would be good cause im a bit unsure of what to do here,car is my99 uk wagon turbo. also where is the best and cheapest place for the sensor/sensors? thanks.

oh and what is the torque setting for the knock sensor bolt?

hi mate ive had the same problem and bought a second hand knock sensor off someone on here £22 if i remember right just bolted it on didnt worry about torque setting and has been fine ever since hope this helps.

ok,was your car suffering with hesitation before and did the knock sensor cure it?did u reset the ecu after fitment?:thumb:

yeh i had same fault code,i would be driving along and the cel would flash up then car would become hesitant once i replaced all was fine.

thanks for that mate, to reset ecu would i just disconnect batterey for a while?

best way is to use the ecu connecters under the steering column 2 black 2 green use the search tool on here to find the proper guide, i found jollygreenmonsters guide the best to use hope this helps.
