Blobeye Sidelights stuck on. Help!

Both front sidelights and the rear lights have decided to not switch off anymore, on my 2003 Blob WRX? It's as if the sidelights are switched on, but all the dashboard lights are not illuminated.

I've pulled a 20A fuse in the engine bay fuse box, and it's killed them, but they come back on when i put the fuse back in.

Help! :freak3:

Parking lights mate, lol in the classic its a switch on top of the steering coloum, where harards lights used to normally be. not sure where it is in a new age though

Just done a search, apperantly the switch is in the same place, on top of the steering coloum. Flick it and they should go off when the ignition is off.

Aaaaahhhhhh! :notworthy

I had spotted that red marker on the hazard switch, but foolishly never thought anything of it. All I had to do was :rtfm:

I cleaned the dash earlier, and must have flicked it with the cloth.

I'll get my coat! :cuckoo:

BarryK 17 January 2009 08:53 PM

It's a safety feature...ha ha ha.

Personally, what a good idea, don't ring some bells that tell you the lights are on, just switch the feckers off unless told different!

It caught me out on my first scoob, driving it home after buying it, pulled into the services, and noticed them on. I spent 15min looking to turn them off, untill i rang the guy i bought it from, felt quite stupid after.....
