hi can any1 help bought a 2005 sti there is a knocking on the passenger side front and back wheels seems to b only around the town when out for a spin cant really hear it until you slow down and seems to do it more when there is a bit of weight in the car garage said its not struts because the black 1's are in it he said it was only the red 1's gave the trouble plz help

Possibilities:
1. Loose jack.
2. Loose or worn anti roll bar drop links.
3. Loose hub nut.

thanks for replying have already checked all these all ok sum1 seems to think dampers would that mean replacing the 2 struts or would they make a knocking sound

was it a subaru garage that told you this? mine had black ones in and they knocked! as have numerous other people on here. Type uks (as far as i'm aware) all came with black struts and springs, if they had red springs on then they are likely to have prodrive springs fitted, but the struts will still knock.

wasnt a subaru garage just the garage i bought the car at going to bring it bac and demand it fixed ya wud think ya pay 10k for a car it would be right thanks for reply

It could also be the ARB mount bush (not endlink).Disconnect roll bar and drive around a bit.
