help engine rebuild

taken engine out after headgasket failure. so while it was out i decided to forge the engine with egale rods wescos pistons block was bored to fit these pistons, acl race bearing, and a new crank. When rebuilding will i need to check clearance as all these parts are new, and when I was rebuilding one down promax motorsport, the head mechanic who bult many engines for rallies did not advise me on checking clearances. Any help on this would be greatfully accepted, my target for rebuild is 450bhp

What clearances are you talking about?

Always check the big end and main bearing clearances - leave nothing to chance, a crank may be new but it can be at the top end of its "manufacturing tolerances" - same with bearings.
Do the job once and do it right.
