MAF CLEANING

Does anyone know if there is a particluar cleaner for a MAF or any other reccomended cleaners? Also, is there a particular way of doing it? I need to clean it on my 05 WRX as I think it's causing the engine to idle oddly and not pull cleanly between 3-4k revs.

I've used Swarfega Stop Quick and it seems to work fine with a small cotton bud to wipe the surface gently.
