Just been posting in wheels tyres and brakes and whilst responding to my topic a RSPCA banner appeared about hunting with dogs. Whilst everyone is entitled to their own opinions I did think that ScoobyNet was a fairly democratic place where various topics can be discussed in good debate form. There should also be a banner for the BASC of the Countryside Alliance so that both sides of the argument can be fairly represented.

Not very impressed

It maybe democratic when it comes to postings but ultimately who decides what banners are run is down to SDB. If he sees fit to advertise something he supports (and Im not saying that is the case at all) then who are you to criticise? Its like me complaining to you that you should add an RSPCA hunting sticker to YOUR car alongside the BASC one because your car is seen in public! People seem to forget this is a free service.

And whilst were on the subject of democracy I personally think hunting with dogs should be banned, but Id be interested to hear your view on this.

Don't want to get into a full blown debate about the hunting issue it would get far to messy! What I do think is that both sides of the arguement should have equal time to air their views.

Anybody who supports foxhunting should be made to watch the report on the Ali G show. I think Borat gave these people enough rope and they definitely hung themselves.

Dont have an arguement about this guys!

I agree entirely with P1Fanatic. That's like saying there shouldn't be any adverts for the RSPCA on TV without it being immediately followed by one promoting fox hunting. Stop being so hyper-sensitive

I think that hunting with dogs is barbaric and should be stopped ASAP. I would not want to see banner adds supporting it. If animals need to be killed to protect farming it can be done in a far more humane way than tearing them apart with dogs.

Stop it!!! This thread will get locked!!!

Dont post your views about such a subject on here!!

Beau 20 February 2002 02:28 PM

Better lock it quick because it will not stop.

Sorry, the last thing I wanted to do is start up a huge debate on the subject, this isn't the place. Lock it up now before all hell gets let loose!
