Now it's defrosted is it leaking any water? Anything in the oil?

thewhitewarrior 10 January 2009 04:16 PM

no, so im thinking she got away with any damage.

dan83590 10 January 2009 04:19 PM

How did it start before it got frozen?

thewhitewarrior 10 January 2009 04:22 PM

after a second, with no trouble at all.

when it was frozen and running was there a squealing sound? I remember i had an old shogun that had no antifreze and when i tried starting it the water pump was frozen solid and the belt was just slipping

thewhitewarrior 10 January 2009 05:36 PM

im not sure about the belt sqeeking because f it slipping, i came out after she said it wont start, the thing is now its defrosted it wont start.

jameswrx 10 January 2009 05:43 PM

If it was frozen solid maybe cranking it over caused a slip of the cambelt?

stevebt 10 January 2009 05:59 PM

I remember years ago I had an old car that had frozen pipes and I assumed when the engine warmed up it would melt the ice :D Ahhh well, it just popped the bungs on the engine instead :)

thewhitewarrior 10 January 2009 06:10 PM

yes core plugs ive had them go before, the cam belt slipping a tooth was what i thought at worst case, i just wanted to see if there could be anything else, ill look tomorrow but i bet its that as its trying to fire for once then nothing else, thanks very much everyone. :thumb:
