help!do i sell the scoob?

hi guys been thinking about selling for a while as i rarely use the car now.have been offered a 2003 celica+a bit of cash but cant decide whether or not to do the deal or wait for a better offer.prices are so low at the minute if i wait i may regret it.your advice would help.

nice lookin scoob mate, whats the mileage? also what year and mileage is the celica? You say that you rarely use the scoob, would you use the celica?

newby 10 January 2009 11:23 AM

scoob has 62k on the clock the celica has 92k,am trying to free up some cash to buy a new R1,but still want a toy to play with.the cars been on pistonheads for ages but no cash offers only p/ex deals and the celica is the only one that has been of any interest.

With the prices atm unless you really have to sell i wouldn't bother.

Hold it out and wait for the economy to get back on it's feet. I heard of a guy selling his 2001 UK WRX with Prodrive extras and 100k on the clock for £2500 the other day. Thats a crazy price.

thats the dilema, how long before the prices recover?the car will be older, most people who want scoobs will buy them now while the prices are so low so will there be a market for cars of my spec and age?i dont need to sell but is there ever a good time to sell?

if your car is worth what your asking for it, hold out and it will sell, people are being cautious with money atm. I would not bother with the celica, the scooby has more selling potential. How much is your scoob advertised for?

its up at £5995 with a realistic selling price of £5k.its difficult to know how to price it,its had a lot of mods,i know you never get your money back but its still a lot of car for £5k

i don't think you'd be happy with the celica as a toy not after your scoob! I would keep it or advertise for a swap deal on a classic scoob with cash your way, then you'll get your cash have a scoob and if the mood takes you mod it too if its not already.

IMHO

anyone else think i should keep the scoob?

trust me, after the scooby the celia would be so dull, I think you would regret it in a couple of weeks time.
