cambelt and kit

as i have no service history for my 1997 non turbo impreza and at 88k i think i will need a cambelt i have taken the cambelt cover off and the belt dosent look to bad but you can never tell ive been quoted 70 pound to have a belt and kit changed if i supply the belt and kit but were is the best place to go as the ones on ebay seam to be alot of money for what they are i was going to change it myself as ive done a few in the past ie cvh engines and ford pinto but the subaru looks more of a challange

200 quid from a main dealer , fook my boots thats cheap .

£200 will be a belt and 2hrs labour, no tensioner or idlers. Hughberry do the same job for £150. Expect to pay about £150 - £200 for the belt and tensioners and then 2 hours labour is about right, so somewhere around the £25o mark for the full kit, or £350ish from the stealer.

the tensionrs are expensive .

got quoted 220 for the kit

I paid £75 for my tensioner and I've seen the idlers for about £25 each. You can get kits from here for £200...
