Chest Pain question

I keep getting a pain when I breathe in.. happens randomly on either side of my chest just under my nipple .. peck type area .. its very painful .. but seems to come on for a while and then go and I'm fine.. its only hurts when I try to take a deep breath ..

:Suspiciou any ideas?

Best case: trapped nerve / slight muscle strain

Worst case: angina or your lungs are fooked

I dont think so .. I think its more like something I've eaten .. maybe ? it was bad on my left side last night after I ate a subway .. and now its on my right side, but far less and seems to have passed much, much quicker !

It'll be just your man boobs growing. You'll start to lactate soon. :)

Chest pains and you're asking on SN rather than NHS Direct or your GP? :cuckoo:

What do GP's know?

I had similar for ages and am pretty fit.
Ended up being a full on hospital job and they found a lung infection was the cause (it was in exactly the same place as yours).
Bit of voltarol and I was okay.

I still get similar sometimes when I run but I just ignore it now.
Oh and they picked up a slight heart murmur - but I'm not dead yet so it must be okay.

Might be worth getting it checked. Dizzyness and chest pains in a 27 year old mate of mine who was fit as a fiddle resulted in him dying in the night a few years back. Which was rather annoying for him.

Think I've had that problem. About 4 months ago there were a few weeks where I kept getting this very sharp pain exactly where the OP has stated. It was when inhaling, and if I took in enough air I would feel a sort of click and the pain would go away - like something being released.

Is your problem anything like that Pimmo?

lightning101 08 January 2009 02:59 PM

Dying in the night would piss me right off, i'm golfing tomorrow

iTs possible stress yeah I guess ...

Its like a stitch I guess .. it was just quite bad last night .. I woke up a few weeks back with it and phones NHS, they said its nothing to worry about just a muscle.. but as you say :) what do they know compared to SN :)

Pain when breathing sounds like a pulled muscle, done it a few times now. Strangely it can be anything from the neck, shoulder down to the back causing a chest pain when breathing. Weird but true.

Hope it turns out ok :)
As for feeling a tit, leave that to her to feel yours.
