Rear fog light not working

My back fog isnt working. When i flick the switch, no light appears on the dash either.
Is it a fuse?

joey_turbo 08 January 2009 11:06 AM

Main beams on?

Stevie-Sport 08 January 2009 11:08 AM

pretty sure they where. Ill double check.

Surely the dash light would go on though.

joey_turbo 08 January 2009 11:12 AM

No there is no dash light, only on the button itself.

Stevie-Sport 08 January 2009 11:34 AM

ah ok.. I gotta fit my header tank now anyway, so ill see

Stevie-Sport 08 January 2009 12:18 PM

Nope. full beam side beam. The little light on the button comes on.
I thought it was a bulb before, so thats been changed,

Right been outside to look. Nothing is happening.

When i initially looked there was a wire out from the light socket, which i pocked back in again. (The wire from the fog light).
But i looked at the socket in the car, which the light plug into, and there is no wire to connect with the one i just plugged in. (Hope that made sence).

Is there supposed to be a wire there?

Going by your View My Scooby, you have a 94 UK Turbo.
Do you have standar rear lights, or STi ones? STi ones have the bootom half in a white clear plastic, rather than orange. If you do have them, it might explain it as they don't have foglights.

no standard ones.
Managed to get a couple of piccies, which may explain it a bit better

is ther anyone tha is able to have a look at their configurment and see how many wires they have into the connectors....

Stevie-Sport 09 January 2009 12:20 AM

fixed.

hamyam 09 January 2009 12:22 AM

How

Stevie-Sport 09 January 2009 12:26 AM

The wiring had been adapted. The fog light wire had a crimp on the end.
You can see it in the second picture. I just plugged the fog light wire into that, and not into the connector.

Was such an easy fix that i overlooked.
