Intercooler upgrade

Hi to anyone who's there.
I've got a 2003 wrx sports wagon, only had it a few months. Had to sell my m3 decause you can't fit a dog and push chair in the boot (joys of fatherhood) I'm missing the bhp of the m3 so am looking into boosting the scoobs. Will be getting the ecu remapped, prodrive exhaust and am thinking about a intercooler upgrade. Will the sti intercooler make any difference or should i go for a aftermark one, and what make
I know there's many mods i can do but dont want to go over the top.
Any advice would be great

if your only changing the exhaust to a Prodrive one and doing no other mods before a remap, don't bother changing the intercooler - the standard wrx one is fine for that power. :)

go for and sti top mount if your thinking about upgrading injectors, turbo etc :thumb:

Thaks for your advice, i'm only getting a prodrive because i don't want anything that too loud. Must be getting old.
I'm looking to gain 30-40 extra bhp. think i'll enjoy the car alot more then.
Doesn't upgrading the intercooler add a few anyway ?

Upgrading the intercooler allows more boost.

As above. Change to a Prodrive system and free flowing panel filter, a Walbro fuel pump and remap should give around 280 bhp and alot more torque.

If you did the above, plus the VF35 STI turbo and sports cat d/p, you could see around 330/310.
