The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Anyone seen this yet? Very moving and thought provoking film I thought. Didnt know who to feel sorry for throughout. Superbly done. Was nice to be cheered up by the guy who kept getting hit by lightening :lol1:

Is this the one with Brad Pitt?

davegtt 07 January 2009 09:18 AM

Yeah, where he gets born as an old man and gets younger as everybody else he knows and loves gets older etc...

Haven't seen it, but David Fincher is one of my favourite filmakers so looking forward to it and it has got excellent reviews all round.

Worth noting for the special effects which were very well done. Not a spoiler but the young Brad Pitt near the end has been made to look younger than he was in Thelma and Louise. :thumb:

I thought it was great - but the end part, when he goes back to being a child etc. and shrinks just became a bit daft...

When he's born, he's still the same size as a normal baby - and has similar attributes - he just looks 'old'... so when he gets young, IMO, he should get younger looking but only to an extent - and remain the same size - but perhaps developing child-like and even infant like features, etc.

Didn't seem like nearly 3 hrs of film either - which is a sign of a good movie!

I think it would have got a little past stupid if we had a fully grown baby walking around though :lol1:

I do not think you can start picking apart logical inconsistencies in a film like that.
