Bleed sequence + std fluid
 

I'm fitting front gold Brembos to my 02 plate WRX tomorrow. Could anyone tell me the bleed sequence for the car? Also, what kind of fluid is in a standard WRX?

Dont no the exact sequence but general rule is start the at the caliper which is furthest from the master cylinder:
ie your brake cylinder should be on the off side of the car at the front so start at the near side rear, then off side rear,then near side front and finish at the off side front,would advise doin it twice to be sure.
As for the fluid standard dot 4 will be fine.

Are you changing the front hoses...???? if not, simply clamp them, and then bleed the one you've done....... the sequence only really matters if the fluid reservoir get empty, and air gets right into the system.....

Clamping the hoses especially if they are braided can lead to damage, i find it better to put a piece of clingfilm over the master cylinder and then put the master cylinder cap back on, it forms a nice seal, it drips a bit whilst you change the caliper.

While changing calipers or hoses I get a bit of wood and use it the hold the brake pedal down so fluid can't run from the master cylinder and I only get a few drips. If you're slick doing this then there's very little air to get rid of. When breaking containment of a brake system you might as well use it as an opportunity for a complete fluid change anyway. I've just bought a 6 yr old Focus as a runabout and the fluid had clearly never been changed so I drained the master cylinder with a syringe and refilled with 5.1 fluid and had a good bleed all round. Transformed the braking and pedal feel.
