Corporation tax error...
 

For some reason I thought the corporation tax deadline was the same as the self assessment one - 31st Jan. Just seen it's the 31st Dec!

Will I be killed?

Yes Gordon Brown needs your money to prop up the banks so cough up immediately.

An apologetic phone call may be called for.

For a first offence you should be ok, they might charge you a bit of interest if theyre feeling nasty, but I'd just mail the check off with a polite covering letter.

I think you get charged interest on late payments, I'm not sure if there's a fine as well.

I paid mine before Christmas, but I have the letter from my accountants here and it says the deadline for 2007-2008 is 6th January 2009. :wonder:
