I do repect veggies. I saw a programme on beef farming lately. They showed how cows are killed in Mexico. It was so disturbing that It makes me think of giving up eating meat myself.

Bugger that. No woman is worth having to go outside to cook bacon for.

I'd end up forcing my meat in her :)

I have been to a few slaughter houses when i worked on the farm. Its horrible to see but tastes so good - The end product I mean not the raw dead cow

I'd kill (someone relatively famous) for a 'real' bacon buttie. The 'bacon' here is total crud. :(

She only winges because to veggie's the smell of bacon cooking is the one thing they cant resist.

And ignore anybody who says veggie quorn bacon is any good..even veggies hate the stuff

Personally I've never understood the artificial meat thing. Not the actual eating of it, but the way it's made to look like something it's not.

If you want to eat bacon or sausages or whatever piece of meat is your choice, fine. If you don't that's fine too.

But why must the vegetarian alternative have to look like the thing you choose not to eat?

Why would you make Quorn (or its equivalent) look and smell like bacon?

I'm more of a carnivore, but I don't expect my mince beef to resemble a cauliflower in order to appease my dietary guilt and fool my imagination! :D

Theres a woman in it who has a Great Dane, lovely dog but when she catches the IRS guy feeding him meat she goes off on one saying the dog is a vegetarian and only eats steamed broccolli :lol1: One thing choosing for yourself but forcing a dog to be a vegetarian is a step to far :lol1:

I agree with your sentiments and hate evangelistic types of any persuasion, but could I attempt to make you see this specific issue from a different point of view?

If you are a non smoker living with a smoker, would you be happy to have them smoking in your face whenever you try to eat? Forget the health issues on this one, and just think about how obnoxious it is to eat when someone is smoking. For veggies the sight, sound and smell of cooking meat is abhorrent.

Oh, and I always hated bacon sarnies ;) I missed battered saussies more than anything but a friend did me some realeat battered ones and they were flaming gorgeous :)

Ok, 2 things I'd like to pick apart in your well put statement ;)

1) Its because said veggie likes bacon, so the banishment is due to possible temptation ;)

2) Depends who's place it is, if said Veggie is owner then yes by all means set the rules, but please don't come into my house and expect me to change my rules, be that fag smoke or dead pigs burnt arse.
