Bravo2zero_sps 06 January 2009 11:14 AM

I may have asked this before but where in Devon?

MattW 06 January 2009 11:18 AM

-7 in Swindon this morning

billythekid 06 January 2009 11:19 AM

Mine was saying -1c but its inside my workshop!
Also seems quite dry with 20% humidity.

davegtt 06 January 2009 11:20 AM

Got down to -11 last night according to the radio this morning. Dont think it did near us but my road was still frozen over when I got up this morning, quite handy really as the misses doesnt like to drive in it so shes walking to work and I took her car instead :D

billythekid 06 January 2009 11:23 AM

Local met office wx stations are here

Met Office: UK: Latest observations

Matteeboy 06 January 2009 11:23 AM

Can't do my usual morning cycle (not risking it in ice) which is a pain.
Having to do lunchtime runs instead. Fine but not as fun.

Puff The Magic Wagon! 06 January 2009 11:23 AM

-8 when I got in the car (Suffolk) went up to -7 200 yds away then down to -9 until I got to the A14

Roads were pure ice to/from my house :D

farmerwrx 06 January 2009 11:23 AM

XRS 06 January 2009 11:26 AM

Matteeboy 06 January 2009 11:27 AM

Good time to have a Scooby, Forester or Legacy!

Mogsi 06 January 2009 12:11 PM

Was -6 in Macclesfield this morning, the cycle to work was a tad fresh to say the least...

SunnySideUp 06 January 2009 12:28 PM

Too bloody cold for my old bones!! :(

J4CKO 06 January 2009 12:35 PM

The Garden temp was -8 here in Cheshire, the car when I started it up said -5 but dropped to -9 on the way to work !

People keep asking if I am on my bike, I would do but the showers are a bit parky and the side roads lethal, so sod it !

The rather elaborate fountain/water feature at work has turned into a giant Slush machine, just needs some bright red or blue syrup pouring in :D

stilover 06 January 2009 12:40 PM

Was -4.5 when I got in the car this morning. Thank god for heated seats.

You cycled?! Respect! I'm not risking it. Have to cross two fords which are lethal in icy conditions.

Coffin Dodger 06 January 2009 12:58 PM

-6 on my weather station thingy this morning, also showing -5 on the car when I left for w**k.

MMT WRX 06 January 2009 01:31 PM

highlands

hasn't been above freezing for more than a day here since before christmas.
Minus 4 in inverness 07.00 5th jan.
was in carrbridge on 28th of dec it was minus 12 at 19.30hrs.
the mean temperature has been about minus five here in inverness.
i had to sit in the car with my foot on the gas yesterday because the ice was to hard to scrape.
its better than plus 2 degrees with rain and wind i'm telling you!!

Judally 06 January 2009 02:17 PM

-8 in bedfordshire and my door's were frozen shut after the snow we had car is still iced over and back doors still won't open.

JonMc 06 January 2009 02:20 PM

Wife's car said -8 when I defrosted that and later mine said -5. It appears to have warmed up to 0 degrees now though.
